My client is looking for a talented Architect to join a small, friendly team to work on a range of new buildings and important Listed buildings. This is an opportunity to join an award winning practice with offices set in the beautiful Welsh countryside.

This multi-award winning practice including the ICAA 2018 Arthur Ross Award for Excellence in the Classical Tradition and based in beautiful mid-Wales, is looking to recruit an experienced Architect to join a small, friendly and dedicated team led company.
The practice has a longstanding reputation for progressive Classical and traditional architecture. A diverse range of architectural projects are undertaken throughout the United Kingdom and abroad, including the design of country houses and new Classical buildings in urban contexts. Sacred and monumental architecture has become a specialisation in recent years. The practice has also worked on large commercial projects.

Role & Responsibilities

They are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Architect to join our existing team and working on specialist, progressive classical style of architecture on new country houses and specialising in sacred buildings, including mausoleum’s.
Additionally, the role will include working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and assisting in managing a team of Architectural Assistants and Technicians.
*Moreover, tasks will involve the preparation and submission of planning and Building Regulation applications, tender procurement and assessment, preparation of construction drawings and information, contract administration and on site project coordination

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 5 years proven practical experience
    *Experience with Listed Buildings and an interest in traditional, conservation architecture would be highly beneficial
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and fluently in written and spoken English
  • Excellent organisation and record keeping skills
  • Thorough technical understanding
  • Ability to produce hand drawing alongside competency in AutoCad and Sketchup highly beneficial
  • The ability to drive and access to a car is essential given the location of our offices

Salary & Package

Salary negotiable, dependant on experience. An excellent package is on offer for the ideal candidate.
