Assistant Building Surveyor Job in Ascot

Our established multidisciplinary consultancy client now requires a motivated Assistant Building Surveyor to join their team based in Ascot, supporting with a variety of refurb and new build projects across education, commercial and residential. The role offers a great benefits package, newly refurbished offices, support with APC pathway and a clear progression route for the right candidate.

Established for over 30 years, and with a team of approximately 20 staff, they have built a strong reputation within the education, commercial and residential sectors. They offer services across architecture, building surveying, contract administration, project management and facilities management and cover London and the Southeast.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Supporting Senior Building Surveyors with a variety of refurbishment, new build and alteration projects across education, commercial and residential sectors
  • Assist with the preparation of specifications, liaising with the architectural and M&E teams
  • Supporting with Contract administration and project management
  • Attend site with Senior Building Surveyors, carrying out Site surveys and investigations
  • Client liaison
  • Liaise with sub-consultants
  • Provide workload data regularly

Required Skills & Experience

  • RICS Accredited Degree in Building Surveying or similar Degree
  • Keen to pursue the APC Pathway
  • Some experience in project management and / or contract administration would be advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to travel to sites across the South-East
  • UK Driving Licence and own vehicle

  • Salary of Circa £20,000 – £30,000 (Negotiable dependent on experience)

  • Incentive scheme: 4% on every invoice generated in the first two years for a new client introduction
  • 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (increasing by 1 day for each year up to a maximum of 30 days)
