The opportunity for a Principle Landscape Architect to join a growing Manchester studio in an Associate position. The role will see you working on exciting public realm projects, as well as providing the opportunity for business development and client management.

My client is an established yet growing Landscape consultancy who has 40 years of expertise and know how to deliver high-quality design and placemaking. With eight offices across the UK, each with their own personality; and made up of an established team of urban designers, landscape architects, planners and architects.

The Manchester office is located in a converted Mill in the city centre. Due to the growth of the studio, they offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Landscape Architect to play a key part in shaping the direction and growth of the office.

Role & Responsibilities

  • You will be working with clients, as well as multidisciplinary teams to manage projects and key packages of work using excellent visual and verbal communication skills
  • You should have an appetite to grow your role and contribute to business and client development, including through local networking.
  • You will be successfully delivering landscape and public realm schemes and be able to demonstrate a collaborative spirit and a high level of design skill.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Passionate about landscape design with a genuine interest in high quality design
  • The ability to work collaboratively to deliver great design
  • Experience in leading and delivering a diverse portfolio of landscape work, including public realm schemes
  • Experience in managing design teams with enthusiasm and aptitude
  • An appreciation of the local built environment and landscape market with an ability to drive business development for our landscape portfolio
  • A qualification in landscape architecture and practical experience within a consultancy environment
  • Demonstrated ability in Adobe CS, AutoCAD, Rhino and other design packages
  • A working understanding of 3D design using Rhino or similar is desirable.
