A new opportunity for a BID Coordinator to join one of the UK’s leading multi-disciplinary construction consultancies on a full time and permanent basis

The successful candidate would be joining a nationwide business offering services across a range of disciplines including architecture, BIM, M&E, Surveying, Engineering, Health and Safety and Project Management.

As Bid Coordinator you would be responsible for the timely delivery of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and tenders, including liaising with technical team leaders to agree an approach, drafting answers to quality questions and proof reading and rewriting technical team’s responses.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Project management of timely delivery of copy and pricing from colleagues
  • Arranging and attending bid kick-off meetings
  • Tracking new tender opportunities
  • Monitoring bid emails and alerts including tender clarifications
  • The accurate completion of Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ)/Selection Questionnaire (SQ) documents
  • Drafting answers to quality questions and editing technical teams’ ITT responses to produce clear and uniformed copy that is easy to read, technically accurate and comprehensively provides the correct/requested information in the correct form/structure for the intended audience
  • Tailoring case studies, CVs and method statements as needed
  • Maintaining a library of precedent text for tenders
  • Uploading completed tender documents to our document management system (Plexus)

Required Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in construction bid management
  • Proven track record of creating high quality client proposals, where strong organisational and project management skills have been applied
  • Have an excellent command of the English Language
  • Strong IT skills, ideally with knowledge of InDesign
  • Work as part of a team in a deadline driven environment
  • Keen eye for detail and be able to proof read and edit copy produced by technical teams
  • Confidently engage with colleagues at all levels to extract the required information concisely and to deadlines set
  • Knowledge of the built environment and the varying terminologies used will be an advantage.
