Are you looking to work for a leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy on a variety of projects? Due to increasing demand, our award-winning client now requires a Building Surveyor or Senior Building Surveyor to join their team in Kent. The role offers a competitive salary, remote-working and a clear progression route for the right candidate.

The consultancy work across a wide range of projects to include education, residential, healthcare, retail, and mixed-use. They provide a service to both private and public sector clients across architecture, building and quantity surveying, project management, and M&E. They have multiple offices and approximately 300 employees.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Fee proposals
  • Building surveys and reports for residential, commercial and education projects
  • Acting as lead consultant for refurbishment and new build projects for public and private clients across residential, commercial and education
  • Design, coordinate consultants, specifications, costing, tendering and contract administration
  • Party walls / Building Pathology
  • Employers Agent duties
  • Defect Diagnosis
  • Liaising with client and chairing meetings and attending resident meetings
  • Mentor junior team members

Required Skills & Experience

  • RICS Accredited Degree
  • Experienced with residential refurb and new build projects (commercial and education projects would also be advantageous)
  • Experience in Building Surveying for a consultancy or private practice
  • Knowledge of JCT, NEC and Partnering Contracts
  • Ability to mentor junior team members
  • Access to own vehicle and UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to use AutoCAD is preferred
