A new Business Development Manager opportunity is now available with the London office of an international practice specialising in luxury residential and hospitality projects worldwide. You will be responsible for winning new business globally and growing maintaining and monitoring their client database while becoming the company’s ambassador.

A successful interior design practice, associated with luxury and innovation in the hospitality and residential industries globally. With offices around the world and a growing portfolio of projects in Europe, Middle East and Russia, they are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their residential team in London on a permanent basis.

This role will cover a full spectrum of activities associated with winning new business for the residential department globally and raising general awareness of the company’s brand, whilst ensuring their global contact and client database is continually growing and maintained. This is the perfect opportunity for a driven Business Developer looking to strengthen their connections and involvement within the luxury residential market.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Creating and overseeing a clear strategy and database for new business activities
  • Coordinating with third parties undertaking marketing, press, PR and events
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with new and existing business contacts
  • Managing the preparation of RFP’s and works proposals
  • Overseeing and planning international NBD visits for yourself and senior staff
  • Liaising with the global team to ensure your division has access to information on all company’s projects

Press & PR Responsibilities

  • Liaising with the internal PR team to ensure the residential division’s strategy is being coordinated globally
  • Coordinating efforts of external PR companies to ensure output is in line with the overall strategy
  • Give input into the development of social media presence

Events Responsibilities

  • Planning strategic events that can assist with NBD and brand building
  • Highlighting key NBD events for the senior team to attend
  • Attending all necessary networking events that can assist with the department’s NBD

Marketing & Events Responsibilities

  • Liaising with appointed external parties and internal PR to assist in the development of marketing collateral and events planning
  • Overseeing and giving input into the creation of marketing collateral that can assist with NBD
  • Ensuring that all material issued for new business purposes is consistent to brand guidelines and to an exceptional quality

Target for the first 6 months

  • Winning sizable projects both locally and globally
  • Identifying key markets, planning and winning work through strategic NBD trips
  • Through strategic NBD trips, expanding the practice’s foreign network through areas such as Europe, the UAE and Russia
  • Consolidating and structuring the existing NBD database into a usable and up to date document that is accessible to all senior team members and allows quick searching of required information
  • Structuring a project document that consolidates all information needed to inform the London office of the other offices’ projects and vice versa

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven development experience within the interior design, architecture and/or property industries
  • Knowledge of the luxury residential and super-prime markets in London
  • Strong track record securing new business and maintaining existing relationships
  • Excellent client facing and networking skills
  • Ability to hit the ground running, securing new business within the first 6-9 months

Salary & Package

  • Salary: £46,000 – £53,000. This is only a guideline and fully dependent on experience
  • Commission with OTE of £90,000
  • Performance related bonus
