Chartered Building Surveyor - London / Remote Working

Our client, a multidisciplinary consultancy based in London, now need a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team in SE London. The role offers an excellent benefits package along with the opportunity to work remotely, plus a competitive salary of up to £65,000.

The practice is growing due to an influx of projects in the residential, commercial and education sectors. They offer services across architecture, design management, building surveying, quantity surveying, project management and asset management. They provide a clear progression route as well as offering continual training and support. To be considered for the role you must be at least one-year post MRICS and have some experience within the residential new build sector.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Undertaking a variety of surveys and inspections
  • Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies
  • Preparing and producing specifications of works
  • Coordinating other members and stakeholders in the design team
  • Acting as Employers Agent
  • Acting as Contract Administrator
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, primarily JCT and some NEC forms
  • Analyse site activities and prepare progress reports on time, quality and cost of projects
  • Advising on Party Walls
  • Advising on and acting in accordance with CDM 2015

Required Skills & Experience

  • MRICS is Essential
  • Employers Agent experience
  • Experience in Residential projects (Leisure and Education sectors would also be preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experienced in report writing
