Experienced Interior Designer – Residential Developer – Central London

Our client is seeking an experienced Interior Designer with a proven background working within the residential sector, ideally on London-based development projects. As part of this role, you will be involved in all stages of the design process, leading and project managing the interior design for multiple developments. This is a key role for our client who are forecasting significant growth for their business in the coming years.

The company are rapidly expanding their portfolio of residential developments and have plans to become a well-known and recognised developer within the London market. You will be joining their small team in Central London on a full-time permanent basis, this is a studio-based role and will require frequent travel to sites to ensure progress is being made and projects are on schedule.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Produce a range of technical drawings including, floorplans, elevations, M+E, and bespoke joinery
  • Create moodboards and concept designs
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers daily
  • Attend site visits and monitor progress/accuracy of builds/renovations
  • FF&E specification and procurement
  • On-site styling and staging for photoshoots.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working on residential projects
  • Strong AutoCAD experience, ability to produce full technical packages, joinery detailing, and M+E drawings
  • Experience producing lighting layouts, including sockets, fuse boxes, and wiring
  • FF&E specification and procurement experience
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong communication skills and confident negotiating with suppliers
  • Degree in Interior Design/Architecture or equivalent is highly desirable.

What you get back

  • Salary of £28,000 – £32,000 per annum
