Junior Architectural Technician Job in Ipswich, Suffolk

This privately owned housing developer has a Junior Architectural Technician Job available to join the in-house planning and design team. This is an amazing opportunity to begin your career in the UK residential development sector.

Due to an increase in the scale of developments, they are expanding the in-house design and technical teams and have the opportunity for a Junior Architectural technician to join the team working on early planning stage of a number of residential developments.
This role would suit a recent graduate or someone looking to move across to a development led role.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist with the production of CAD layouts, house types and other relevant drawings for planning applications
• Under the guidance of a senior member of the team provide planning packages for technical information production
• Assist other members of the design team with maintaining a standard house type, planning, drawing, registering for use in planning applications and sale literature
• Assist the planning team to ensure planning permission is obtained to the satisfaction of the company within appropriate time constraints
• Liaise with and advise other departments on design matters
• Attend internal and external meetings.

Required Skills & Experience

• Qualified Architectural Technician or equivalent
• Experience of UK residential projects would be highly beneficial
• Ability to use AutoCAD
• Revit experience would be beneficial
• Due to the location and need to visit site you will require a full UK driver’s licence.
