Lead Interior Designer job in SW London

A new Lead Interior Designer job is now available is SW London. The successful candidate will join a boutique practice working on national and international luxury residential projects. Being a brand-new position within the team, this opportunity will suit a proactive designer with management/leading experience and the flexibility to grow and progress with the role. Salary of up to £60,000 DOE.

This practice of 7 prides itself on their innovative and timeless solutions for luxury residential interiors. Due to an ever-growing portfolio of projects they are now looking for an experienced designer to work alongside the Director and lead projects whilst mentoring junior and mid weight members of the team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Managing projects independently and taking full responsibility of all aspects of the project
  • Mentoring junior/mid weight designers
  • Working on all aspect of IA including producing/reviewing technical drawing packages, joinery drawings and details and tender packs
  • Producing/overseeing mood boards for client presentations
  • Responsibility for multiple projects from concept development through to installation and styling
  • FF&E including sourcing, scheduling, and specifying furniture, fittings & materials of the highest quality
  • Liaising with clients and managing installations on site
  • Liaising directly with suppliers and negotiate terms and costings.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in the luxury residential sector
  • Strong understanding of the full design process
  • Proven experience working independently and taking huge amount of initiative
  • Strong technical drawing skills and experience including joinery drawing packages for design intent, client presentations and tender
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, EstiPC and Microsoft Office
  • FF&E experience including sourcing, procurement and supplier liaison
  • High level scheme making
  • Confident in working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • The ability to work and deliver projects within time and budget.
