Join a well-established and creative company as their Managing Director and take responsibility of all aspects of the business while under guidance of its holding company. The role offers an OTE of £120k per annum and the opportunity to take the reins of a very exciting business.
Established in 13 years ago, the company provides award winning furnishing solutions for the London and Home Counties property market and has built a reputation for achieving exceptional results. The business is 100% owned subsidiary of a UK leader company, known for providing furniture services across the country.
Due to the demand and the ever-growing pipeline of work, they have recently developed their own interior design department which works parallel to their well-established interior styling division. Given the expansion of the business, they are now looking for an experienced individual to join them as their new Managing Director.
Role & Responsibilities
This is a 360 position that requires making the practice your own! As the Managing Director of a thriving and creative studio, you will be involved in all aspects of the business, from liaising with clients and investors and overseeing the development of the design team through to setting targets and make sure they are achieved within the given time frame.
Effective working relationships are an essential part of daily working life. In this role, the focus will be in both, internal and external relationships and will include working closely with:
Internal: With the founders and directors of the studio, the design team, operations, procurement, finance, warehousing and installation teams, the Executive Team and the residential BD team of the parent company amongst other departments.
External: Developers, agents, private clients and suppliers.
This is an outline of the illustrative duties of the role, The Managing Director will be expected to become involved in a range of work to respond effectively to the requirements of the business’ parent company.
Required Skills and Experience
Salary & Package
Your package would include a salary of £60,000 – £80,000 plus a performance related bonus of between £30,000-£40,000 per annum (guaranteed for the 1st 12 months’ pro-rata).
Holidays: Standard holidays are 22 days + 1 year every further year of service to a max of 25 plus Bank Holidays. However, the company is happy to match your current holiday entitlement, should it be higher than this.
