Mid-Weight Interior Designer – Traditional Residential – SW London

Our client, a top 100 House & Garden Interior Designer, is seeking a Mid-Weight Interior Designer to work as part of a team on classical/traditional high-end residential projects. The successful candidate will be assisting with projects, from concept to installation – covering all areas of the process, including technical drawings and FF&E. Expected start date of March 2021.

Established for over 45 years, our client has a world-renowned sense of style that appeals to both a contemporary and traditional market. With the continued expansion of their client base, a Mid-Weight Interior Designer is required to assist with their current high-end residential projects. Candidates with prior experience in a top 100 House & Garden company are highly desirable for this vacancy. Good knowledge of FF&E trade suppliers based in Chelsea Harbour is also required.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist with projects from concept to installation
  • Specifying and sourcing FF&E for projects, including making all the necessary logistical arrangements
  • Attend site meetings, as and when required (UK based)
  • Prepare relevant documentation for client’s consideration, including hand sketches, physical boards and Adobe Suite visuals
  • Work alongside other members of the team and liaise with clients directly
  • General administration and misc. duties, answering telephones, project filing, etc.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in high-end residential design, ideally with a top 100 House & Garden company
  • Proven competency on AutoCAD 2D
  • Experienced user of Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), SketchUp and Microsoft Office
  • Competent user of EstiMac/EstiPC, plus logistics experience and understanding of VAT
  • Knowledge and understanding of interior space planning and joinery detailing
  • Good knowledge of FF&E trade suppliers, ideally those based in Chelsea Harbour
