Part II Architectural Assistant / Interior Designer - Chelsea, London

An Architecture job in London is now available, seeking a Part II Architectural Assistant, with experience of interior design, high-end residential projects and a passion for luxurious bespoke finishes, to join my client’s team and work on residential refurbishment projects valued £1m – £6m.

With their office currently based in the beautiful borough of Chelsea, my client’s team is comprised of 10 full time and 4 freelance staff. The practice has been established for over 14 years and has organically grown its staff numbers over this time.

Both a RIBA Chartered practice and a BIID member, they offer an array of multidisciplinary services, including; architectural design, interior design and property management. Their portfolio predominately consists of high-end residences in prime areas of London, such as Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster.

Role & Responsibilities

  • The plan within the next year is to bring all interiors in house, therefore your experience in both interior design and architecture will be key for this process and your knowledge will help make this transition a reality
  • Assist the Architects on a variety of properties, from conception to completion
  • Work on bespoke high spec projects in prime London locations typically valued £1m – £10m
  • Use AutoCAD on a daily basis
  • Complete both interior and architectural detailed drawing packages
  • Report to the Lead Architects and Directors
  • Meet strict deadlines.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A qualified Part II Architectural Assistant with experience working in professional practice
  • A passion for one off high-end residential projects and a keen interest in interior design is key for this appointment
  • Fantastic technical knowledge and interior architecture skills (a strong technical ability is essential)
  • Interior design experience is hugely advantageous
  • Experience working across all RIBA project stages
  • Experience working on high end residences valued £1m- £10m ideally within prime areas of London
  • A fluent user of AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign and SketchUp
  • Nice hand sketches
  • A good understanding of UK building regulations
  • A passion for bespoke design solutions
  • Fantastic written and verbal English + the right to work in the UK.
