Senior Interior Designer Job in London

Senior Interior Designer required for an international design and architecture studio based in SW London, working on outstanding interiors for luxurious hospitality projects.

With an ever-growing portfolio of clients, this practice is famous for their luxurious and high-profile projects. Their eclectic yet sophisticated interiors are regularly published in design magazines and winners of design accolades. Having secured some exciting projects, their London team are currently looking for a talented Interior Designer with a minimum of 6 years’ experience to join them on a permanent basis.

Role & Responsibilities

  • To work on projects and manage each stage of the design process from concept through to completion
  • Understand and interpret the client’s brief and propose feasible concept designs
  • Develop and monitor the design timeline and ensure deliverables meet deadlines
  • Complete full technical drawing packages, including joinery detailing
  • Maintain and produce all relevant design documentation
  • Understand and monitor costs associated with the projects
  • FF&E specification and procurement, liaising with new and existing suppliers
  • Produce a range of presentations, mood boards and concept samples
  • Manage and mentor junior members of the team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 6+ years’ experience in the hospitality/F&B sector
  • Strong Interior Design and FF&E experience
  • Ability to deliver neat and accurate technical design information with ease
  • A comprehensive understanding of construction technology, joinery, and detailing
  • A high-level of AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, and SketchUp is essential
  • Prior experience mentoring/managing junior designers
  • Proven hand-drawing skills
  • Strong knowledge of current UK building regulations.
