Are you interested in working on diverse and challenging projects? We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Landscape Architect based in Glasgow looking to join a friendly and award-winning team of landscape and urban designers boasting a diverse portfolio of interesting and complex projects.

The company employs over 180 people across its six UK offices, they are proud of their friendly and informal working atmosphere. They cover a number of disciplines including Landscape design, strategic planning, Urban design, landscape planning and environmental assessment and have an expanding portfolio of projects including residential masterplanning, public realm, university campuses, and healthcare projects.

Due to the organic growth of the practice, there is the opportunity for a Senior or Principal Landscape Architect to engage with a wide range of sought-after projects with prestigious clients, working with Directors with strong reputations in the industry and gaining exposure to different specialist fields.

Role & Responsibilities

  • You will be dealing directly with clients and have the confidence and experience to manage projects independently
  • Able to confidently work from inception to completion, preferably on a range of public and private developments across rural and urban areas
  • To work collaboratively, articulate ideas and communicate effectively
  • An element of travelling to sites across Scotland will be required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • You will hold a degree and / or a post graduate qualification in Landscape Architecture
  • Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute is preferred but not essential
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD and computer graphics and/or excellent hand-drawing is required as a minimum
  • Comfortable and competent dealing directly with clients
  • Working from inception to completion across all RIBA stages
  • Previous experience working on a range of public and private developments across rural and urban areas would be beneficial
  • The position requires good all round skills in design, graphics, presentation, verbal and written communication, and a combination of design flair and technical competence.
