Senior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor - Milton Keynes

Hunter Dunning is proud to be working with a UK Top 5 House Builder, due to ever-increasing developments, they now need a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to join their team of 13 in Milton Keynes. The role offers a competitive package of up to £75k dependent on your seniority + car allowance + bonus.

The housebuilder and partnership group will be delivering 12,000 private and affordable homes every year which has earned their place in the Top 5 House Builder in the UK. They deliver housing from the North down to the South West, delivering quality housing with sustainability and community at the forefront of their minds.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all costs relating to new build residential developments.
  • Minimise the costs of a project and enhance margin and value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality
  • Completion of sub-contract orders and variations
  • Collate and issue tender packs for sub-contractor work packages
  • Negotiation and analysis of sub-contractor work packages
  • Sub-contractor payments, variations and final accounts
  • Dealing with customer extra payments and orders
  • Complete monthly CVRs and cost reporting
  • Attend site project meetings
  • Produce tender analysis for sub-contract work packages
  • Cost reporting and budget control

Required Skills & Experience

  • HNC in Surveying or Construction
  • Experience of working within the Construction industry for a residential housing developer on newbuild developments
  • HND or higher qualification is preferred
  • Different methods of construction i.e. Timber Frame is desirable
  • Experience with COINS is desirable
  • UK Driving Licence
