In these uncertain times of the Covid-19 outbreak, like many other businesses, we will be finding our new ‘normal’ in terms of working arrangements for our employees in order to keep everyone as safe as possible.
As of yesterday (18th March 2020) all of our staff will be working from home and following government advice. We have made considerable investment into our cloud-based systems over the last few years and all of our staff will have everything they need right in their own home. Their desktops, telephone software, CRM databases and Office packages are all there and ready to keep communication on point and work as they did within the office.
Many of our staff members have already had the luxury of flexible hours and working from home when needed, so we are sure this will be a smooth ride for the team in terms of carrying on as normal. (As much as it can be!)
Business will be running as usual with our contact numbers remaining the same as well as contact via email, the website and social media.
We would also like to take this opportunity to make you all aware that the IR35 changes have now been delayed to next April 2021 due to these circumstances. We will keep you posted with any further news on this soon.
NOTICE TO CLIENTS
With the uncertainty of how long things will remain how they are with Covid-19, we appreciate that your recruitment plans may have gone on hold in the short term or your process may not be quite so straight forward. Within this time, it would be beneficial to have a think about your plans when you return to the office. If you think you may need someone quick then hiring freelancers will be an excellent solution as many candidates will be eager to get back into work, especially if they’ve been made redundant.
A huge benefit that we have in this day and age is technology, so make use of your phone or webcam and get started on the video call interviews! (We will be sharing some of the benefits on this on tomorrows blog) If you wait until this all blows over the chances are you will lose out on the candidate of interest.
NOTICE TO CANDIDATES
Although the circumstances aren’t great, now is a perfect opportunity to get your job search in full motion. We commonly get told a lot that candidates don’t physically have the time to update their CV and/or portfolio, but now is the prime time to do it (Especially if you’ve self-isolated and already bored of staying in!)
We are here to support you in every way that we can so now is the time to utilise our skills and expertise and take advantage of it. You can contact us within our usual business hours, or if it’s out of those hours we will respond as soon as we possibly can. If we can get your application in to your dream employer within this timeframe that other companies may not be working then your already making a great head start.
