Hunter Dunning set off to London Olympia this week to see the latest trends and news from this year’s Recruitment Expo.

Hunter Dunning Managing Director Joe Synes and Marketing Manager Louise Wilkie attended the event on its first day to catch up on the latest industry updates.

About the Recruitment Expo

The Recruitment Expo is an annual event for anyone working within the Recruitment Industry who wants to see first-hand emerging products and services, insights and technology demonstrations. The Expo houses a number of theatres with free-to-attend seminars from speakers with extensive industry knowledge. The show is held at the London Olympia exhibition centre.

Theatre

Armed with a schedule full of seminars to attend and exhibitors we wanted to talk to, the Hunter Dunning duo set off on the early train from our offices in Chichester to Olympia.

At the show we bumped into our good friends at Colleague and couldn’t help taking an epic selfie with Brett Cole our Sales Executive. We also spoke with some of our advertisers to catch up on their current plans and how they will be making the application lifecycles easier for our candidates. Great news all around.

The seminars were very interesting and eye opening for what to look out for in the changing industry that is recruitment. We have taken away some valuable insights which will aid our already gleaming customer service.

What we thought…

Joe said: “I try to attend the event every year so I can keep on top of what is happening in the industry. It’s also a good opportunity to meet with some of our key suppliers plus business owners and the thought leaders. It was good to catch up with some familiar faces this year and make some new connections as always.”

Louise said: “I have a wealth of marketing experience, but I am still quite new to the recruitment industry. The Expo was a great source of knowledge for my own learning and I think we both have a lot of ideas to take back to the office with us. Putting some faces to names was great too and some of the stands looked fab – I especially loved the telephone box!?!”.
