Hunter Dunning is in the process of expanding and we’ve just gained a fantastic new member of our team, Matt Trussler.
There’s more to our Consultants than just a voice on the other end of the phone. We will be introducing them one by one to our website visitors so you can get to know the person behind the voice. Here we introduce Matt who is now joining our interior design team.

Where are you from?
I was born in Guildford, but currently live in windy West Wittering!
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I was a bit of a car fanatic when I was younger, my dad was a mechanic and I always had an interest in supercars, so I had an interest in being a mechanic for high-end cars or a racing team.
What training or qualifications do you have?
I’ve got a degree in Human Resource Management from University of Chichester, keen to do more though and hope to do another degree at some point!
Where did you work before Hunter Dunning?
A small media, publishing and events business, Eljays44 Ltd, based in Rustington. I was their HR Business Partner. My role was to lead the HR function for the company, but I was also involved in supporting them with their events and market research offerings.
Why did you choose to work for Hunter Dunning?
I have always had an interest in recruitment and Hunter Dunning have a fantastic position within the industries they work with, as well as supportive and welcoming colleagues – I’m pleased to be a part of the team!
What is the best thing about working at Hunter Dunning?
The business’ sectors, seeing the development of the property industry and being able to support companies with their recruitment needs.
How do you feel Hunter Dunning differs from other recruitment agencies?
Being a specialist agency there is a greater understanding of clients and candidates – enabling a greater chance of being able to link the two together in an effective and efficient way.
What do you find most interesting working in the Interior Design sector?
The way Interior Designers have different approaches to their work and how they can project their vision to bring spaces to life.
How is the Interior Design industry changing?
I feel that green space is becoming more and more relevant, so seeing how interior designers incorporate green space and plants to promote various benefits such as cleaner air and improved mental health.
What are your hobbies?
Aside from helping my partner with her horses, I enjoy running and am keen to achieve a better half marathon time.
What word or phrase do you say the most?
“Ah perfect” … it could be the simplest thing, and this is my first response – I annoy myself with it sometimes, it’s just a habit now!
If you were an animal or a cartoon character what would you be and why?
I think if I was an animal it would be a rooster, I’m a morning person and enjoy being up and doing things!
If you could rename Molly, what would you call her?
I couldn’t rename her!
